Sharyn Horowitz specializes in facilitating communications between disparate stakeholder groups and development teams. She uses a variety of techniques and skillsets that she has accumulated through her journey as a writer, science museum exhibit developer, content manager, information architect, and presently federal government IT consultant. She has significant experience with agile transformation in the trenches. Sharyn's first agile experiences were with an organization that was new to agile. In addition to duties as scrum master, she spent much of her time in a liaison role, helping stakeholders understand how to provide useful feedback to the development team. Next, she took on another effort within the same organization, this time using the organization's "official" agile methodology...which was still being developed. She gathered a team and pitched in as business analyst, scrum master, and tester while still handling communications with the universe of people who were interested in the product itself as well as how the team was going about building it. After successfully delivering this product, she moved on to a new client where she served as a proxy product owner and introduced more thorough release planning, regular collaboration on backlog grooming, and product roadmapping. Currently she is a BA with a well-established scrum team.
